i fucking love when i’m at a concert and the lead singer of my favorite band spontaniously holds the mic out to the crowd, somehow knowing that us kids have their back, and will finish the lyric. maybe they don’t even hold the mic out. maybe they just hold the mic by their side and just smile at the crowd, hoping we would know what to do. and you know what? we always do.
especially when it’s not even a popular hook, it’s just a random lyric burried within the song. and they hold their mic out to us just to hear us singing our hearts out, and finish the lyric. it’s inevitable.
that sound. the sound of everyone just singing along together at the top of their lungs? just the harmony of all of us together? yeah as cliché and corny as this sounds,
it’s kind of what i live for.
